Hi folks - As you know, all people playing league (including spares) must be affiliated with a ODSA club.  Again this year, the RA is offering a very special membership for those women who’d like to play or spare in our city league, but aren’t yet a member of a city squash club.  A $70 Women’s City League membership at the RA entitles you to play from September to August on league nights (Thursdays).  To take advantage of this offer you must also be a member of the RA Centre.  The individual fee is currently $33.00.  This RA-WCL membership also allows you to play at the RA at other times by buying a reduced day pass for $5.00.  If you are planning to play Women’s City League and need a club affiliation, the RA is making a very generous offer.  FYI, Susan.

Hi everyone -League is starting this Thursday, September 20th, 2007.  We’re playing at the RA Centre located on Riverside Drive right beside Billings Bridge.  The order of play is 3-2-1.  We have two courts reserved at 6:40 pm and another two courts starting at 7 pm.  Officially, play starts at 7 pm, but if you can play earlier, contact your opponent and show up for one of the 6:40 pm slots (it’ll be first come first served for the 6:40 pm court time).Don’t forget to bring your $30 league fee.  Barb Fischer will be collecting.Do plan to come up to the Fieldhouse Restaurant at the RA after playing.  You’ll enjoy both the food and the company!See you on Thursday,Susan

We had a great time playing squash and socializing afterwards.  Everyone got on the court several times and played people that they don’t usually play.  Some were able to shed a little bit of the rust gathered over the summer.  Others were in fine form.  We saw old faces and met new folks as well.  It’s shaping up to be a GREAT session.Susan
